Last Friday was free book day for Macmillan employees...and man, did I bring home a haul! No links this time--too many books! Here they are, for posterity:

I made two trips to browse. 

That's one nonfiction book, maybe four fiction books set in the present day, three steampunk(-ish), eleven historical fiction, two high fantasy, and goodness knows what else. Aside from my pitiful nonfiction haul--yay!

Let's see how many of these I actually read. The delightful thing about free book day is that if I don't like a book I can just bring it back to the charity shelf with no guilt. 

The "Loot" I Wish I Had

Apartment hunting has not been going well, though my future housemate and I did notice today that there's been a surge of mid-month postings, so all is not lost. At the moment, though, I'm planning to move back in with my family for the month of November and commute from New Jersey. This is going to be significantly less painful than it sounds. As when I was in my internship, I'll sleep on the bus in the morning and read on the bus in the evening. 

And, of course, I am ready and eager to drop this plan if a good apartment comes along. 

That's it for now. I'll be spending Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with the family. We're going to see Macbeth, watch the hawk migration, have a bonfire, and check out the Lititz zombie run! So excited!
